The New York Times had this
article December 5, 2019.
"Why There Won’t Be A Black
Woman Running for President" @ https://nyti.ms/2LnwyCC)
Many comments were critical of
the author for placing so much emphasis on the importance of being “black”, with the author perhaps forgetting what Martin Luther King had so long ago, that what was
important was what was in your mind and your ability to use what was there. The
collection of comments was unusual for having so many so critical of the author’s
focus on “race”
My effort to file a comment was
blocked by a red error message, but my New York Times comment-land friend, Blackmamba
was able to get his comment in print just before comments closed.
Today, December 6, I modified
the text of the blocked submission and in one version mention Blackmamba
promising to put his comment here in my blog. Blackmambas comment appears under ALL and was one of the last to appear before comments were closed.
Now I have done so.

What is a 'black woman'?
First of all there is only one
biological DNA genetic evolutionary fit human race species that began in Africa
300,000 years ago. What we call race aka color is an evolutionary fit
pigmented response to varying levels of solar radiation at altitudes and
latitudes primarily related to producing Vitamin D and protecting genes from
damaging mutations in ecologically isolated populations over space and time.
Being Indian and Jamaican like
Harris father and mother is about their national origin. Not hers. So is being
American and Kenyan like Obama's parents. They are not racial markers. Nor are
they ethnic sectarian markers. Kamala's mother is Tamil Hindu. Barack's father
was Luo Muslim.
The notion that Harris and Obama
are all and only black is an evil malign relict of enslavement that deemed
one-drop aka 1/32nd of black blood as making you black enough to be legally
enslaved and separate and unequal in America. The legacy of black enslavement
has made a rainbow of black Africans in America. Few know nor share heritage as
exotic as either Harris or Obama. Nor do they have parents as well educated as
either of them growing up in relative isolation from black Africans.
Unlike the nations with the most
Muslims-Indonesia, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh- America has had never had a
female head of state/government. Every English speaking nation-Australia,
Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom can make a similar claim.
